A Year in Review: Looking Back

January 1, 2009 began the New Year last year which started off with Cory proposing, =) and it definitely set the tone for the rest of the year!! Things really just kept getting better.

Erin got bigger... a lot bigger! And now she can do all the cool stuff that I just couldn't wait for her to do, she's walking, she's talking (kinda), singing, dancing, and the best thing ever laughing!! She is just so much fun all the time and I am so looking forward to watching her grow up!

A few other neat things all the the way is:

Finally finish school which was a very hard very long road that finally is over. I just finished my last semester in December and commencement will be in May. Some said I would never finish, or never go back... but I did both... whats up?

Ever since I start working at the jail I've been trying to lose weight. I can't remember exactly when I was my heaviest but it was somewhere in 2007. And I pretty much stopped weighing myself because it got to the point of pure humilation. The heaviest I was at...that I saw was 278. which is massive!! I decided to make a change and I think that I have. It hasn't been easy... but I needed it and I'm much happier now. Now bare with me... here is a picture from LAST New Year.

I know.. Not pretty. January 1, 2009, I weighed in at 261 pounds. (I was wearing a size 20-22 size jeans.) And this is where I started keeping track of weight loss. I began working out after work everyday, and trying to keep track of calories in, I stopped drinking pop and just tried to be as balanced as possible. I invested in new healthly cook books and tried to make every meal healthy.

Now, after a year, I actually feel semi-comfortable sharing my weight, and my story.

Here is the picture from this New Year.

(I hope you can tell the difference)

January 1, 2010 I weighed in at 191. I now can wear size 12 jeans. Which I am extremely happy about. I actually enjoy shopping now, not looking at the cute clothes then having to walk to the plus size section.

So for this year... whats in store. I'm going to up my game in losing weight. Keep better track. And my resolution/goal. Is to get into a bikini (and not make people throw up) sometime before summer. I'm really hoping for March (for our BIG Las Vegas trip) but we'll see how that goes. I really don't have a goal weight, because thats not really my object. I don't really care about how much I weigh, or really how I look (although it feels great!). I just really want to be healthy and in shape most of all. But I'm thinking about 145-150. So I'm going to keep you updated because I'm buckling down and I'm going to work hard. And now that I have written this for all (or just Meg) to read, it will hold me accountable.

I'm sure there's more... I'll add to it later...

Happy New Year everyone!
